The big(ish) beard
Okay, so this one technically isn’t a hairstyle, but beards are just as important. After a few years on hiatus, big, bushy boys are back, and they’re beefier, bulkier, and better than ever.
“In recent years, big beards seems to have diminished in favour of stubble, but that might just be about to change in 2025,” says Hunt. “It’s not a total copy-and-paste from 10 years ago, though. Today’s form seems a bit less sculpted and a bit more gnarly, often teamed with shorter hair for more impact. Handsome devils like Andrew Garfield and Jamie Dornan have both embraced their feral sides in recent times, and we predict many more will follow this year.
One of the biggest talking points and (worst-kept secrets of last year) was the reunion of Oasis. They said they’d never do it. They said they hated each other. But you know what? Life works in mysterious ways, and here we are. Whether you managed to snag a ticket or not, there’s no doubt that the mod cut will be making a big comeback this year on the back of the Britpop redux.
“It’s not that the mod cut ever really went out of fashion, but it’s always been something of a niche, statement look,” says Hunt. “Now, a more subtle, more wearable version which shares some of the same key features is coming to the fore. Look out for softer sideburns, softer necklines, and shorter textured fringe
